Dear Paul Hornschemeier,
I just wanted to mention very quickly that I really enjoyed THE THREE PARADOXES. I have a Ph.D. in English and have taught college English for 14 years--all this to say that I'm no slouch of a reader : ) . I'm presently a high school librarian.
There are many layers here, and I definitely related to the character back in the home town re-experiencing childhood traumas, with an ineffectual father unable to intervene. As a poet, I recognize the comic creator's attempt to somehow capture his experience in a meaningful way, and the struggle to do so in a non-trivial way. Much to think about here: and I continue to think about your story as I pen this note. Very resonant. Wow. And the Zeno story made me laugh way out loud.
Keep it up! You're doing good, real, important work.
Sincerely,
Richard
